Michelle Jordan
is principal and founder of Jordan LLC,
a consulting firm that assists CEOs,
senior executives and other leaders with their strategic
communication needs. The company,
founded in 1998, is based in Southern
California and works with clients on
both coasts.
Jordan LLC specializes in issue and
reputation management ("enhancing," "protecting," "restoring,") and crisis
communications, including media and internet strategies. Also assisting women CEOs
raise their visibility to enhance the
visibility and reputation of their
companies and organizations. Representative clients
range from CEOs and corporate board directors to entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals, and from public companies and family owned businesses to non-profit organizations, academic institutions and master planned communities.
With more than twenty five years in the strategic communication and public relations field, Ms. Jordan has worked throughout North America and in Europe. She served as president of the Los Angeles office of GCI Group, the global PR agency owned by Grey Advertising and headed-up corporate communications for Silicon Valley-based Digital Pictures, a pioneer of interactive video games. There she helped the company
successfully navigate through the
controversial Senate House Committee
hearings on violence in video games. In
New York she held senior management
positions with The Dilenschneider Group
and Hill & Knowlton where she was SVP/Managing
Director of the Marketing Communications
Division.
In 2005 Jordan LLC partnered with Bedlam Entertainment Inc. to co-create and -produce BUZZ: An Executive Women’s Think Tank. The annual business conference attracts some one hundred women CEOs and senior executives and is the only summit of its kind on the west coast.
Ms. Jordan has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal as a crisis communication expert and appeared several times on MSNBC-TV, Fox News and Fox Business channels to talk about reputation management. Her speaking engagements include Outstanding Directors Exchange (ODX,) Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Marcus Evans' Private Wealth Management Summit, The Urban Land Institute Leader's Council, and Forbes Executive Women’s Conference, among others.
Ms. Jordan is a past recipient of The New York Women in Communications Matrix Award for career excellence in the field of public relations and The Orange County Business Journal Business Woman of the Year Award. She serves on the Advisory Boards of WalkStyles, Inc. and KTGY Group, Inc. as well as The Volunteer Center Orange County, the Belizean Grove and “The Trusteeship,” (IWF So. CA. chapter) She is a founding member of the Women’s Philanthropy Fund/Orange County. |
